Our tried and tested halal courtship formula helps you build self-awareness, communication & vetting skills, and strategies to seek and nurture a faith-aligned marriage. Our framework is based upon Quran principles & the Sunnah.
A Halal courtship is the process of getting to know a potential spouse with the sincere intention of marriage and within the boundaries set by Islam. It involves seeking compatibility in faith, character & other key values, through respectful, purposeful interaction. Choosing a spouse is a responsibility and a trust (amānah) that requires wisdom (ḥikmah), consultation (shūrā), and reliance upon Allah (tawakkul).
Marriage is one of the most significant decisions a Muslim will make- one that can shape their faith, family, and future for years to come. And poor preparation can lead to unnecessary hardship, conflict, and even heartbreak. In a new country, a new culture, a new time period, there is little support or resources for Muslim singles or their parents to navigate such an intense journey. Our coaching helps intending spouses make wise, informed decisions with greater confidence and reliance upon Allah.
We provide practical strategies for navigating every stage of the courtship process—from where to look for a compatible spouse to having structured, meaningful conversations that help you assess compatibility with confidence. Drawing on both Islamic teachings and established psychological principles, we offer guidance that equips you to make informed decisions while avoiding common pitfalls like premature emotional attachment. From your first introduction (ta'aruf) or marriage meeting, through to an engagement & nikah, we provide a clear roadmap so you can approach each step with wisdom, clarity, and trust in Allah.

"In a new country, with a new generation, a new culture and new lifestyle, the process of finding a spouse is not the same as it was for our parents.
I was a young 22 year old second generation immigrant of Pakistani descent, whose parents were on a mission to introduce me to prospective spouses. We soon came to learn that our limited network and old ways of handling proposals was not working for us.
For 6 years, every proposal seemed to end in disappointment. Sometimes there were unexplained rejections or insincere proposals. The process felt confusing, exhausting, and directionless. Eventually I realized the problem wasn't simply finding prospective spouses, it was that we had no framework for evaluating them. We were relying on hop instead of strategy.
In the mean time, in those 6 years, I also grew in my professional career as a Mental Health coach specializing in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and utilized my professional knowledge and personal experience to create a system for courting that ultimately led me to find and marry my husband.
I soon came to realize that thousands of Muslims are struggling with the exact confusion I experienced. Eager to help others find their happily ever after, in 2024, Halal Courtship was born.
It started with helping family, then friends then clients understand the unspoken secrets to filtering bad matches, assessing compatibility from a rational place rather than an emotional one, finally connecting with quality potentials and knowing how to talk to the opposite gender - for the first time for many of us - regarding heavy and intense topics."
